Zetta Announces Successful SAS 70 Audit

May 6, 2010 – SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Enterprise storage service provider Zetta today announced the completion of the Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) 70 Type II audit, an auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A service auditor's examination performed in accordance with SAS 70 is widely recognized, because it represents that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit of their control objectives and control activities. Raising the bar even higher, Zetta is also on its way to achieving the more stringent SysTrust certification.

 

SysTrust is an assurance service that was jointly developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA), and is designed to increase the comfort of management, customers, and business partners with systems that support a business or particular activity. In a SysTrust engagement, the practitioner evaluates and tests whether or not a specific system is reliable when measured against detailed, pre-set criteria in four areas: availability, security, integrity, and maintainability.
