Quality Engineer

Are you interested in building large-scale distributed systems with enterprise-level reliability? Zetta is building a cloud-based, distributed storage platform to manage exabyte-sized data. As a member of the Quality Engineering team, you will build a fully automated testing platform to assure the quality, integrity, and performance of the Zetta software solutions.

 

The founding team of Zetta has worked for Netscape, Verisign, SGI, Shopping.com and Shutterfly. Zetta team members have been part of the founding teams for three previously successful startups. Zetta is targeting a market space with more than $30 billion in annual spending. The Zetta product plans are aggressive and ambitious, we are looking for people who share these values. Responsibilities

  • Develop custom test frameworks, libraries and tools to test a highly distributed, multi-platform computing environment
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and stress tests to validate the Zetta software offerings across multiple platforms
  • Integrate automated tests within a continuous integration environment
  • Work with product development and management to insure high quality product releases

 

Requirements

  • 5 years commercial software testing experience
  • Experience programming in Python, Perl, Ruby, or other dynamic programming language
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux platforms
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP and application layer protocols (ex, HTTP, FTP)
  • Familiar with best practices in software quality engineering

 

Bonus Points

  • Previous Python programming experience
  • Knowledge of C++ with experience writing C++ tests
