Senior Account Executive

Description

As a Zetta Senior Account Executive, working in our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters, your primary mission will be to hunt and close prospects in a large assigned geographic territory calling on mid-market to enterprise companies with complete sales cycle responsibility. With a strong SaaS transactional sales background, you will utilize your advanced phone-based selling expertise for meeting/exceeding monthly objectives of new customer closes and associated MRR revenue growth, through online demonstrations and occasional travel. This position will be accountable for developing qualified and active pipelines, moving and reporting on forecasts through the sales process and closing monthly transaction targets for new customers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Acquiring new customers while meeting or exceeding goals for revenue, growth objectives, account retention and customer service. Sales are conducted via telephone, seminars, sales calls and presentations. Activities include managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting, maintenance, proposals, contracts, closing and ensuring post-sale service launch.
  • Developing managing and sustaining a 10x active pipeline to quota ratio.
  • Working closely with existing customers to establish case studies and reference accounts and to ensure a high renewal rate for existing customers.
  • Formulating aggressive account portfolio growth strategies and providing updates to the executive staff weekly on progress of goals.
  • Providing market, customer and competitive intelligence feedback on a monthly basis to product development, marketing and customer service.
  • Representing the company through professional demeanor as a quality leader in the market space.
  • Updating Salesforce.com daily with account, pipeline and forecast updates.

 

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in selling SaaS solutions to mid-market and enterprise customers. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a growing disruptive technology organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports, to both external prospects and customers as well as to internal colleagues. Aggressive, diplomatic, creative, positive and driven with empowered accountability describe our most successful employees.
  • 7+ years of enterprise IT sales experience with a proven record of attaining and exceeding sales quotas and demonstrating above average lead generation skills.
  • Background in storage, replication, backup, archive, SaaS and Data Protection.
  • Strong hunter mentality with ability to manage high volume transaction closes.
  • Excellent abilities in both verbal and written communications including solid online web-based conferencing skills.
  • Strong experience with Sales CRM systems in capturing and managing pipelines and forecasts.
  • Start-up experience preferred.
  • Four-year university degree or equivalent preferred.
