Are you interested in building large-scale distributed systems with enterprise-level reliability? Zetta is building a cloud-based, distributed storage platform to manage exabyte-sized data. We are hiring programmers with experience in distributed computing, multi-threading, clustered storage, file systems, networking protocols, and web services. We hire top talent regardless of previous functional experience. So if you have a passion for programming and can demonstrate brilliance in other programming areas, we want you. Previous commercial or open source product experience is a must.

 

The founding team of Zetta has worked for Netscape, Verisign, SGI, Shopping.com and Shutterfly. Zetta team members have been part of the founding teams for three previously successful startups. Requirements

• Proven track record of building highly scalable and high performance commercial software products or services
• Knowledge of C or C++ and object-oriented design
• Knowledge of UNIX or Linux and associated applications and utilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

Bonus Points

• Experience in Windows or Mac application programming
• Understanding of storage (RAID, SAN, and NAS) technologies
• Experience with Web application programming
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with RDBMs (PostgreSQL, mySQL)
